European Conference
on Conservation Agriculture
February 2ND and 3RD, 2027
Moving towards Sustainable and Climate-Resilient agricultural
production through Conservation and Regenerative Agriculture
Introduction
An agriculture
that adapts
Agriculture in Europe is facing a transformation to address the pressing challenges (climate change, soil degradation, biodiversity loss, …) while safeguarding productivity and food security as well as providing ecosystem services Introducing Conservation Agriculture (CA) –minimal soil disturbance, permanent soil cover, and diversification of species– has proven to be a robust, science-based pathway toward sustainable and resilient food systems.
The LIFE InnoCereal EU project stands as a major milestone in this transition, advancing the implementation of Conservation Agriculture across Europe. Building on the principles of soil preservation, biodiversity enhancement, and efficient resource use, InnoCereal aims to demonstrate that sustainable cereal production can be both environmentally and economically viable. Through collaborative innovation and the active involvement of stakeholders throughout the cereal value chain, the project promotes an agricultural model that reconciles productivity with environmental responsibility. It also positions itself as a European reference for integrating digitalisation, climate-smart practices, and sustainability certification within cereal systems.
Organised by the European Conservation Agriculture Federation (ECAF) in collaboration with the LIFE InnoCereal EU project, the “European Conference on Conservation Agriculture” aims to bring together farmers, policymakers, researchers, universities, and industry representatives to share experiences and foster collaboration towards more sustainable and resilient cereal production systems in Europe.
